Ms. Jaspreet Chopra,
Counsellor and Founder Director
Ms. Jaspreet has dual undergraduate degrees in Commerce and in System Analysis & Design; she is a Masters in Business Management and also holds a Diploma in Career Counselling from UCLA and is a certified Green Belt in Career Counselling from Univariety, Singapore.
She and Mr. Manvir Chopra (Director Operations) together founded our Travel Management Company, Déjàvu Holidays in 1999 and have had an impeccable record of over two decades of providing services to overseas travellers. They have a huge repertoire of knowledge on destinations and career prospects within them. Ms. Jaspreet has gone further and built a library of careers and colleges in these countries and has transitioned into student counselling. In her passion for working with children she aims to share her knowledge with them and help them find their calling and become happier adults. She is an avid photographer as well and loves to write. An explorer at heart, travel continues to be her foremost passion.
“Having completed my dual degree in Systems Analysis & Design and Business Management, I worked in the IT industry for a few years before I took up the entrepreneurial challenge. I founded and managed my Overseas Travel Management Company and alongwith my partner Mr Manvir Chopra, have spent two successful decades in the travel industry. Having recognised my calling a few years ago, I decided to venture into Student Counselling for Overseas Education. I enhanced and upgraded my skills in counselling and decided to put my expertise and experience to good use by helping students find their calling from amongst the wide array of careers available. My mission is to get them ready for their journey towards a successful career and a happy life! My biggest qualification for counselling teenagers, comes from having mothered two boys myself! “
Ms. Jaspreet’s message to the children:
“It’s OK to be confused!”
If you are a good learner, are highly motivated and have the conviction and wish to grow, then we are happy to guide you. It’s great if you have your mind set on a career but if you are confused, don’t worry! It is the most natural thing for children your age to be confused, at this phase of life. We are here for you. We can help you understand your own preferences, translate them into career goals, define what you need to achieve and guide you onto the path to achieve them. But you must be prepared to work hard and above all, enjoy this journey! We wish you success & happiness always!
Ms. Jaspreet’s message to the parents:
“Don’t Stress! Start early!”
Please know, that I am a mother of two as well. I understand the pressures of dealing with teenagers. Growing up brings numerous challenges for them and for us parents too. These include their raging hormones, growing sense of independence, need for career planning, academic pressure, peer pressure, and their dependence on gadgets. Top that with our own hectic work schedules and social life. We as parents, end up taking on a lot of stress on ourselves when it comes to deciding regarding the higher education of our children.
There are endless questions and apprehensions in our mind, ranging from, what should the child study to which is the right place to pursue higher study, from how to go about the application procedure to the ability of the child to adapt to a certain country, course or college and many more.
